Jordi Amaral is a research analyst at Hxagon. His research and expertise is focused on Latin America and the Caribbean, including migration, security and rule of law, politics, human rights, and development. He has worked as a research consultant at the Migration Policy Institute (MPI) Latin America and the Caribbean Initiative and has interned at MPI, the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN DC), and ONG Rescate.

Jordi holds a B.A. in International Affairs and Latin American and Hemispheric Studies from the George Washington University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude.
